Please read the uniform policy carefully before purchasing any dance shoes or clothing. We strongly recommend purchasing your uniform from a dancewear store to ensure the quality and longevity of the garments and shoes. 

Dress Up Day!

On the last lesson of each term only, all Pre-School, Pre-Primary, Primary, U4, U6, U8, Level 1 and Level 2 students can choose their favourite costume or outfit to wear to class

Hair

All ballet students MUST arrive at class with their hair in a bun. In all other genres hair must be pulled away from the face and secured neatly.

VMS Clothing

You may wear a VMS jacket to class in winter whilst warming up. Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary students can wear VMS crop tops, t-shirts or singlets to class as long as they are form fitting. No VMS crop tops, t-shirts or singlets are allowed for ballet classes, leotards only.

JAZZ & TAP (U4, U6 & U8)

CLOTHING:

  • ‘Energetiks’ CL04 Mulberry sleeveless leotard (or equivalent)
  • Mulberry crossover top & wrap skirt (optional)
  • ‘Fiesta’ skintone, shiny lycra tights or tan matte tights

JAZZ SHOES

  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan coloured Elastaboots (or equivalent)

TAP SHOES

  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan Tap On’s


JAZZ & TAP (U10, U12 and U16)

CLOTHING:

  • ‘Energetiks’ CL04 Black sleeveless leotard (or equivalent)
  • Black crossover top & wrap skirt (optional)
  • ‘Fiesta’ skintone, shiny lycra tights 
  • Black bike shorts allowed for U12 & above

JAZZ SHOES

  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan coloured Elastaboots (or equivalent) U4-Open classes

TAP SHOES

  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan Tap On’s for U10 & U12
  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan Showtappers for U16


JAZZ & TAP (Open & Adult)

CLOTHING:

  • Any dancewear or gym clothing allowed

JAZZ SHOES

  • ‘BLOCH’ Tan & Black coloured Elastaboots for Open Jazz are required
  • ‘BLOCH’ Black coloured Elastaboots for Adult Jazz

TAP SHOES

  • Open tap will need both tan & black tap shoes - check with teacher for style
  • Adult Tap class will need black tap shoes – any style


CONTEMPORARY & ACROBATICS

CLOTHING

  • Same as Jazz & Tap above
  • Adult contemporary no uniform required
  • Crop tops & bike shorts acceptable for acrobatics.

SHOES

  • Open class – Elastosplits, Foot thongs or Foot Undeez
  • All other classes - ‘BLOCH’ Tan coloured Elastaboots (or equivalent)
  • Students need bare feet for Acrobatics classes 


BALLET (Pre-School – Grade 2)

CLOTHING

  • ‘Energetiks’ CL04 Mulberry sleeveless leotard (or equivalent)
  • Mulberry wrap skirt & crossover (optional for winter)
  • Pink ballet tights

SHOES

  • Pink full sole or split sole leather ballet shoes


BALLET (Grade 3 & above)

CLOTHING

  • ‘Energetiks’ CL04 Black sleeveless leotard (or equivalent)
  • Black wrap skirt & crossover (optional)
  • Pink ballet tights
  • Adult ballet no uniform required

SHOES

  • Pink split sole leather ballet shoes


BOYS – Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet & Acrobatics

CLOTHING

  • Black jazz pants or dance shorts
  • Plain white cotton t-shirt

SHOES

  • JAZZ & CONTEMP– ‘BLOCH’ Black Elastaboots (or equivalent)
  • TAP – ‘Energetiks’ TSC05 Black (or equivalent)
  • BALLET – Black split sole leather ballet shoes


HIP HOP (Girls & Boys)

CLOTHING

  • Any black, pink or white clothing that is suitable to dance in
  • No denim or restrictive clothing

SHOES

  • White volleys (canvas sneakers)
